ABOUT THE COURSE
The White Card course is a requirement for employment in the construction industry throughout Australia. This course covers the fundamental Work Health & Safety (WHS) necessary knowledge prior starting work tasks within any of the construction sectors.
You will learn about the following topics:
- Implementing Health & Safety in the Workplace
- Hazard Identification & Management Procedures
- Workplace Emergencies & First Aid
- Identifying Cautionary Signage
- Responsibilities & Obligations of Workers and Employers
- Role and Function of Health & Safety Representatives (HSR's)
- Safe Manual Handling Practices
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students must be at least 14 years of age. Participants must also:
- Present photo ID.
- Provide their USI.
- Have sufficient English language skills to complete the course.
TRAINING & ASSESSMENT
Students will be taught by industry professionals and receive learning materials which they keep for future reference. Assessment is via written questions, verbal questions, and case study/simulated environment assessment tasks.
PRICE
The course is for $125 which also includes the $27 fee for the White Card.

For dates, times and locations, check the OLI Website. Courses run on a regular basis and are 7 hours in duration. OLI offers Face- to-Face training at the following locations:

CERTIFICATE
Nationally Recognised training! Once a competent mark is awarded, you will be issued a Statement of Attainment with the relevant unit code: CPCWHS1001- Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry, which is effective for 60 days and you can commence work immediately. Within 60 days, the final SafeWork NSW (White Card) will be sent to your address. |
